The weekend in numbers (Part 1 of 2)
Done and upcoming nightly happenings that deserve to be blogged about:
Free party #1 - DONE
Dani and I whored the kingdom of Tomas Morato one Saturday evening. After sitting in our throne (yes, it exists) in Chili’s for 30 decisive minutes, we ended up crashing the Blueniversity event in Center for Arts where Taken By Cars was playing. As I was totally clueless that one had to pay 150 pesos to get in, and that it was an exclusive for Thomasian students thing, we walked in with heads high, unconscious that we were about to play Orcs in a nice Elvish gathering where everyone was dressed and made up, eating cheese and drinking blue colored Gin. We would have graciously paid for the fee except nobody cared to stop us. Did we pass as students? Also, cheese and gin? NO.
Free party #2 - DONE
It isn’t our problem there were at least 2 (to our knowledge) free gigs in the area that night. We cabbed it to Generator Bar (LOL at the name please) for another gig after the shameful realization of what we had just done back in Center For Arts. I met up with Ros and got my Holga prints back! These prints were the stuff we put on display during the Silipan/Rinigan event (which was also published in Bounce Magazine issue #5, September to November 2008 issue!). Thanks Ros! I will upload the prints I displayed soon.
Dani’s friend, Moe, whom I just met but has read some of my entries back here, commended my writing. Umh. I don’t get that a lot.
Actually, wait, I would get praises back in college from professors I was only trying to impress with wit and dry humor that I borrowed and recycled from others. I figured they’d never really find out my sources. Kidding. I don’t know I don’t know I can’t tell when I’m telling the truth anymore. Also as I have told you, Moe, I’m not a blogger. I just keep a blog where I try to tell people I have friends and a life.
Free party #3 - DONE
Made an obligatory visit to Mayric’s to meet up with a friend who had our baby Cocker Spaniel’s registration papers. See here, my self-perception as a useless daughter is only partly true, after all. I had to make this trip to Mayric’s to save my mom from picking up the papers at Mayric’s herself. This night was “Bitches and Whores” metal night, btw.
19 - UPCOMING
Phat’s Entertainment in Sausage bar, Quezon City is on December 19, 2008. Actually, if there is anything else interesting going on this night, please let me know so I could put it in my calendar. Cos right now, since my choices are limited to “music w/ friends” and/or “alcohol w/ friends,” and “staying home alone” isn’t the best way to waste a fine December Friday either, there isn’t any option, really.
20 - UPCOMING
Sonic Boom’s yearly Christmas mayhem has been slated December 20, 2008. Umh, yeah, I’ll be there for sure.
